School leavers are to choose elective exam subjects by March 1

At a briefing at the RT Cabinet of ministers First Deputy Minister of education and science Danil Mustafin said that all school leavers who are going to pass the Unified State Exam and State final examination must choose elective exam subjects by March 1. Pupils of the 9th form will have five exams: three compulsory (Russian, Maths and Tatar), and two elective subjects. As for pupils of the 11th form, compulsory subjects are Russian and Maths, the number of elective subjects is unlimited.
According to Danil Mustafin, last year 60 pupils were removed from exams for using communication devices, 84 administrative cases were opened in respect of participants of the Unified State Exam.
This year supervision during the Unified State Exam will be carried out in a traditional way with participation of public observers, employees of prosecution bodies and Ministry of the interior, and use of video cameras.
A free training test in Russian and Maths will be held in April. It is carried out by the Ministry of education and science and the Kazan Federal University for the purpose of efficient training for the Unified State Exam.
Danil Mustafin informed about holding of the Internet forum within the framework of cooperation with the Kazan Federal University. People involved in organisation of the Unified State Exam and members of subject commissions usually participate in this annual traditional event.
