On September 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia Irek Faizullin visited the International School in Kazan, where they looked around a new school building.

The construction of the new building started in 2018. In addition to universal classrooms, there are creativity workshops, scientific laboratories, a video and sound recording studio, a modern library, a swimming pool, and a gym at the school.

Minnikhanov thanked everyone who took part in the construction of the educational building. “It was a very difficult project to fit such a building into the historical centre of the city. As a result, a very beautiful modern building appeared,” he noted.

Tatarstan President stressed that the development of the education system is one of the priority areas. “We want young Tatarstan citizens to receive the best education. The republic must be competitive. The availability of a modern international school contributes to this. I want to congratulate all the children on the start of the school year,” he added.

Then Minnikhanov and Fayzullin looked around the classrooms of the new building, visited the gym and laboratories.
