Rustam Minnikhanov: Affected depositors of regional Tatfondbank and Intekhbank banks will receive another 300,000 roubles

On August 25, at the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired a meeting which announced that affected depositors of regional Tatfondbank and Intekhbank banks will receive another 300,000 roubles each. Payments will start on September 1, 2020.

The meeting was devoted to the results of the work carried out under the resolution of issues of banks clients recognized as insolvent (bankrupt).

Under the concept developed by the Regional Support Fund, six stages of assistance were carried out. Payments have already been made to 6,101 applicants for a total amount of about 2 billion roubles. At the same time, 55 per cent, namely, 3 617 bank clients received the lost funds in full. With the introduction of new support measures, the number of such depositors will increase to 68 per cent.

Minnikhanov emphasized the importance of the phased work in supporting the affected depositors. He particularly noted the category of affected depositors such as veterans of the World War II and home front workers.
