With deep sorrow, I learned of the passing of Boris Ivanovich Tikhomirov - one of the most experienced and respected leaders in our republic.

His employment history, numbering almost half a century, is inextricably linked to the Kazan Ginproniiaviaprom - here he took his first professional steps as an engineer, became a leader and successfully headed his native institute for more than twenty-five years.

To a large extent, due to the efforts of Boris Ivanovich, his great experience and efficiency, the scientific and production potential of the institute, which today has grown into a group of companies and is the leading design and construction organization of the Russian military-industrial complex, was preserved and increased.

His relentless active work became an important contribution to the industrial, social and economic development of Tatarstan, ensuring the qualitative growth of the domestic aviation industry.

The passing of a person of this importance is a huge, grievous loss for you - his colleagues, friends, like-minded people and for our entire republic.

In the grateful memory of Tatarstan people, Tikhomirov will live as a talented, determined leader, a true enthusiast and creator, a man of ambitious goals and worthy accomplishments.
