Results of work in 2012 and perspective areas of activity of the Ministry of labour, employment and social protection were discussed at an extended session of the ministry.

Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, RF Deputy Minister of education and science Aleksandr Klimov, Chief of inspectorate of the RF Accounts Chamber Sergei Seliverstov, Chairman of the RT Council of municipalities Minsagit Shakirov, Aide to the RT President on social issues Tatyana Larionova, heads of republican ministries and agencies participated in the event.

Minister of labour, employment and social protection Airat Shafigullin made key report. The ministry’s work was summarized by four main areas: increase of population living standards, employment, professional education, social support of population.

Thus, increase of salary rates was observed in republic. For 11 months of 2012 salary increased by 16,6 % and made 22447,7 rubles. Job centers provided job places to 63 thousand people in 2012. 10,3 billion rubles were allocated for social support measures.

RF Deputy Minister of education and science Aleksandr Klimov, Commissioner for human rights on RT Sariya Saburskaya, Deputy Minister of construction, architecture, housing and utility services Almaz Akhmetshin also spoke at the session.

Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin focused on key tasks and issues of further improvement of the ministry’s activity. He said that a stable trend in rising living standards of population was observed in republic.

According to Farid Mukhametshin, one of main results of work for the last few years is providing accessibility of services in the sphere of promotion of employment, maintenance of controlled, managed and predictable situation at labour market.

Among programs that were successfully realized by the ministry Head of the parliament emphasized the program “Accessible environment” for 2011-2015 aimed at providing conditions for free access of disabled people to social objects.

Farid Mukhametshin was also satisfied with efficient interaction between State Council and Ministry of labour, employment and social protection in law-making activity.
