On July 7, at the Kazan Cooperative Institute (Branch of the Russian University of Cooperation), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting on the development of the education system for training personnel for consumer cooperation and the largest network corporations.

Chairman of the Council of the Central Union of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zubov, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region Sergey Morozov and other officials took part in the meeting.

A presentation of the Russian University of Cooperation and a presentation of the work of the enrolment board in a remote format were made at the meeting.

Zubov informed the meeting that it was decided to relocate the main office of the Russian University of Cooperation to the Kazan Cooperative Institute.

In his turn, Minnikhanov said that today there is no alternative to consumer cooperation in the village. According to him, such a form as consumer cooperation has always been intended to address social problems. How to get to remote villages, how to provide essential goods to residents of remote villages, how to provide a procurement system - these are issues consumer cooperation deals with.

“There are many areas that are very important for the village today,” Minnikhanov said. “And there is a huge gap across the country.” He also reminded that a project to set up car shops for retail trade in villages, and a project to compensate for the cost of delivering essential goods to remote settlements are being implemented in Tatarstan. A system for monitoring the activities of car shops also exists in the republic, he added.

Minnikhanov also emphasized that the training of personnel for the consumer cooperation system is very important for Tatarstan.
