Rustam Minnikhanov and Marat Khusnullin inspect the improvement of the embankment of Kaban Lake, the construction of infectious diseases hospital and the Great Kazan Ring Road

On June 25, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin and First Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia Irek Faizullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials inspected the progress of construction of some facilities in Kazan.

The embankment of Lower Kaban Lake, where landscaping is underway, was the first facility inspected. The embankment of Kaban Lake near the Kamal Theater has already been commissioned, and everyone can appreciate comfortable walkways, a playground with a game water complex with a system of hydraulic structures for children. There is also a rental point for catamarans and boats there.

Then, the guests inspected the progress of the improvement of the second stage of the embankment on Nazarbayev street. A rowing school, sports grounds will be built there, landscaping will be carried out, new areas for pedestrians and cyclists will be created. It is also planned to build phyto-treatment facilities with an aquatic family of plants. By the end of this August, it is planned to complete the entire range of work.

During the inspection, Minnikhanov talked to people having a rest on the embankment, asked  their opinion regarding the convenience of the embankment and the recreation areas located there.

Then, they visited the construction site of a new infectious diseases hospital. A 4-story medical building is designed for 234 beds. If necessary, their number can be increased up to 504 beds. In addition to the main building of the infectious diseases hospital, a new laboratory complex will be erected. The project provides for the construction of a diagnostic department, a waste disinfection unit, anesthesiology and intensive care unit, and other departments.

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov and Khusnullin inspected the progress made in the construction of the Great Kazan Ring Road. Work on this facility is carried out in two stages. The first stage involves work on the site from Midhat Bulatov street to Boriskovskaya street, where a four-lane road with a length of 800 metres with an overpass over Fermskoye high road and a pedestrian crossing is being built. Together with that, builders lay tram rails to Tekhnicheskaya street. All work is carried out in accordance with the approved schedule.
