Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the unveiling ceremony of the memorial "Walk of Fame of the Kazan Powder Plant workers - war veterans"

On June 24, at the Petrov Park in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening ceremony of the memorial “Walk of Fame of Kazan Powder Plant Workers - Veterans of the World War II”, which was established in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the World War II, in the year of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the TASSR and the 232nd anniversary of the Kazan Powder Plant with the support of Tatarstan Government and the administration of the city of Kazan.

WWII veteran, Hero of the Soviet Union Boris Kuznetsov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, war veterans, Director of Department of the Conventional Arms, Ammunition and Special Chemistry of Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade Dmitry Kapranov, representatives of the Kazan Powder Plant laid flowers at the memorial.

Tatarstan President talked to veterans, wished everyone good health and well-being.

Minnikhanov said that Kazan during the war years was one of the industrial centres that manufactured military products, and wounded soldiers were treated in Kazan hospitals.
