On June 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the summer terrace of the Skazka café in Kazan to inspect how the catering facility is keeping to sanitary and epidemiological requirements as part of the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection.

The Government of Tatarstan allowed restaurants and cafes to open summer verandas from June 11.

The Skazka café on the pedestrian Bauman Street in Kazan is one of the first children's cafes.  It was the only place for family leisure in the catering facility in Kazan and was very popular in Soviet times.

The 50th anniversary of the café will be marked in 2020.

Minnikhanov was shown how seating on the veranda was organized taking into account the distance between visitors - no more than two adults at one table.

At the same time, Tatarstan President emphasized that in the new environment the correct organization of customer service is the most important task of the catering system at the moment.

Minnikhanov also noted that the Skazka cafe is a successful example of entrepreneurial initiative and the succession of generations. Over the 50 years of its existence, more than one generation of Kazan citizens and guests of the capital has visited the cafe.

Ice cream has been and remains the main delicacy of the café. Minnikhanov admitted that the tastiest ice cream he has eaten was at the Skazka cafe. Today he also tasted ice cream on the summer terrace of the cafe. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin also joined Tatarstan President.
