Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the opening of a new Yubileiny swimming pool in Naberezhnye Chelny

On June 4, in Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of a new Yubileiny swimming pool,  built under the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” of the Demography national project.

The pool was built in less than a year. There are a swimming pool for adults with 6 lanes, a children's pool, stands for spectators with 50 seats, a dry swimming hall and a gym in the complex. The standard capacity is 600 persons per day, including 450 adults and 150 children.

Minnikhanov expressed gratitude to Russian President for supporting many initiatives and projects that are being implemented in the republic, including those in sports.

“Water sports are especially popular in Tatarstan. Thus, this swimminp pool will help those who want to go in for sports and train new champions,” Tatarstan President said.

Students of the Dolphin Olympic Sports School will train at the Yubileiny swimming pool.
