Rustam Minnikhanov inspects Shinnik Avenue in Nizhnekamsk, where major repair under Safe and Quality Roads project is underway

On June 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Nizhnekamsk municipal region of the republic to take part in the events dedicated to International Children's Day.

During his visit, Tatarstan President got acquainted with the course of major repair of Shinnik Avenue.

In 2020, it is planned to overhaul a road section of Shinnik Avenue of 1.9 kilometers long under Safe and Quality Roads national project.

The project envisages the development of sidewalks with a width of 3 meters, safe pedestrian crossings, and modern lighting. It is also planned to install new stop pavilions and improve a parking area for visitors of Family central city park. It is scheduled to arrange bike paths on both sides of the avenue, 2.2 meters wide each. Thus, Shinnik Avenue will be a part of a single city network. The repaired area is planned to be commissioned in October this year.

As many as 365 million roubles were allocated for this facility.
