Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visits Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company on the threshold of the Chemist’s Day

On May 29, on the threshold of the Chemist’s Day, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company.

Minnikhanov got acquainted with the implementation of the projects of the Strategic Development Programme Kazanorgsintez PJSC, met employees of the HDPE, bisphenol A and ethylene production and processing plants.

From the central control room, Tatarstan President congratulated the staff of chemical and petrochemical enterprises, research and educational institutions of the industry on their professional holiday via videoconference.

Minnikhanov visited the industrial zone of Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company. In particular, he looked around the construction site of a new isopropylbenzene production plant at the bisphenol A plant, the site next to the reactor B being upgraded at the HDPE production and processing plant, as well as four new pyrolysis furnaces at the ethylene plant and factory control rooms, which were commissioned at the end of 2018 as part of an integrated testing.

“Today, we have visited production facilities that have been modernized, and this work will continue. We have very big plans to increase the production of polymers and establish new, more high-tech production facilities. That is, the strategy for further development is big,” Minnikhanov said.

Tatarstan President also congratulated all workers in the chemical industry on their professional holiday. “Tatarstan is petroleum and petrochemical republic, and the Day of the Chemist is a big holiday for us,” he emphasized.

Minnikhanov also reminded that since 2000 the fourth programme for the development of the petrochemical complex has been launched in the republic, and there is no doubt that it will be implemented.

According to Tatarstan President, at some costs, new, more advanced technology can reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere and make production more environmentally friendly.

“We must support our domestic producers,” Minnikhanov said. He also reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin pays special attention to the import substitution. “We must fully provide the country with all necessary chemical and petrochemical products,” he stressed.
