Rustam Minnikhanov looks around the main building of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan after restoration

On May 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the main building of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan, which was under restoration for several years.

Reinforcement of structures, repair of stylobate, roof and facade, restoration of 16 ceramic stoves and stairs, repair and installation of metal structures, repair of openings, internal networks of engineering and technical support and interior decoration was carried out under the repair and restoration work in the buildings of the museum.

The museum was also equipped with the necessary exhibition equipment and Land improvement and park development of the Sandetsky Manor park were carried out.

The total funding amounted to 364 million roubles.

Tatarstan President praised the work done on the restoration of the building.

Today's visit is dedicated to the international day of museums.

Minister of Culture of the republic Irada Ayupova and Director of the State Museum of Fine Arts of Tatarstan Rozalia Nurgaleeva accompanied Tatarstan President during the inspection.

Minnikhanov congratulated the museum workers on their professional holiday. He emphasized that today special attention is paid to the museum industry, because it is connected with the upbringing of the young generation and with the preservation of history.
