Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin lays flowers at the “Soldier-Winner” monument at the Arsk cemetery in Kazan

On May 9, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a ceremony of laying flowers at the “Soldier-Winner” monument at the Arsk cemetery in Kazan.

There are military graves and an obelisk in memory of those who fell during the World War II. There is also a monument to the Sorrowing Soldier monument.

Aleksey Pesoshin also had a minute of silence to honour the memory of the honorary citizen of Kazan, the Hero of the Soviet Union – legendary pilot Mikhail Devyataev and other legendary Tatarstan war veterans whose graves are located at the Arsk cemetery.
