Tatarstan President attends a new dairy complex in Saby region

On May 6, during his working visit to Saby region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited a new robotic dairy complex in the village of Tuktar.

The agricultural company contains over 450 heads of cattle, including 210 cows. The milking operation is fully automated. Over 6,1 tonnes of milk are produced daily, the average milk yield per cow is 32,7 kilogrammes. 

Minnikhanov was informed that feed is supplied under a special scheme, without entering the complex. An air ventilation system and automatic air curtains, operating from temperature sensors, are installed.

At their meeting, Tatarstan President and local farmers discussed the development of the agricultural sector of the region in detail. In early May, agricultural enterprises started sowing campaign. Today 1,000 hectares have been sown, including 800 hectares - spring grain. Fertilizing of 7,000 hectares of winter crops, harrowing of 15,000 hectares of perennial grasses and 28,000 hectares of autumn plowing and fallow land were completed. All farms are fully provided with seeds and fuel. As many as 448 tractors, 182 seeders, 13 sowing complexes and 155 cultivators are involved in the fields.

Minnikhanov urged agrarians to make full use of each fine day for the early completion of the sowing campaign, while carefully observing all sanitary and epidemiological standards.
