Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin on countering the spread of Covid-19

On April 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a videoconference held by Russian President Vladimir Putin with the leaders of Russian regions on countering the spread of coronavirus infection.

Putin emphasized that in the difficult circumstances of the coronavirus pandemic, it was possible to mobilize the resources of domestic industry. Thus, at the beginning of the year, 60–70 artificial respiration units were produced per month, over 800 units were produced in April and 2,500 units will be produced in May. The production of protective masks increased by more than 10 times: from 800,000 per day at the beginning of the year to 8.5 million in April. Mass production of a number of drugs demanded in the treatment of coronavirus infection was launched.

Today, there are 116,000 specialized beds fully equipped for the treatment of coronavirus infection in the country.

Russian President said that a series of May holidays is ahead, and there are working days on May 6, 7 and 8 between them. Putin declared them days off with pay. Thus, taking into account all the May holidays, the period of non-working days will last until May 11, inclusive.

Putin instructed Russian Government, Russian Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer rights protection and human well-being together with the working group of State Council of the country to develop successive steps of a phased exit from restriction regimes depending on the current epidemiological situation and its sustainable prognosis starting from May 12.

Russian President instructed the Government to develop next new urgent measures to support the economy and citizens in the near future.
