Rustam Minnikhanov to employees of the Kazan Ambulance Station: You are on the frontline of the medical care

On April 28, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Ambulance Station in Kazan to congratulate its employees on their professional holiday – the Day of Ambulance Workers is celebrated in Russia today.

Tatarstan President got acquainted with the equipment of ambulances designed to transport patients with symptoms of COVID-19. Moreover, he was told about protective measures being taken, including providing ambulance personnel with personal protective equipment and disinfecting vehicles after every emergency call.

Minnikhanov focused on the importance of enormous support measures initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on additional payments to medical personnel, equipping the regions with new ambulances. For example, as many as 29 class C vehicles are expected to arrive in Tatarstan.

Chief Physician of the Kazan Ambulance Station Farid Galyautdinov also thanked Russian President for his great support in the current difficult situation. “We will receive new mobile intensive care units in the near future. Technical equipment is very important in our efforts to achieve health for our people. We feel attention Vladimir Putin pays to our industry,” he said.

Tatarstan President visited the dispatching service of the ambulance station. Addressing the dispatchers, Minnikhanov congratulated them on their professional holiday. “You are on the frontline of the medical care. Now health workers have the hardest time. At the risk of your health, you are courageously fighting for the lives of our people. Thank you for that!" Tatarstan President said.

Currently, there are more than 3,000 people work in the regional ambulance station.
