On April 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the trauma centre of the Regional Clinical Hospital, where a temporary hospital for patients with suspected coronavirus infection was established In early April.

Minnikhanov looked around the admission and diagnostic department, the intensive care unit and the life support area. The medical facility is established for 200 beds, including 20 emergency rooms. About 70 beds have oxygen supply points, including 20 beds having consoles for artificial lung ventilation. In total, up to 90 lung ventilators can be deployed.

Minnikhanov also talked to the medical staff. The hospital organized 15 teams for shift work. The teams will rotate every four hours. The hospital is established for patients with coronavirus infection in a state of varying severity.

During the inspection, Minnikhanov was informed about the work to be organized in the temporary hospital, about the coordination of medical personnel and various modifications of protective suits.
