04.04.2020

On April 4, speaking at a video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with the participation of all municipalities of the republic, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported on the progress in spring field work and modernization of the infrastructure of the gardeners' partnerships.

Zyabbarov said that all the regions of the republic have proceeded to field work. Active fertilization of winter crops and perennial grasses is in progress at the moment. Winter crops have been sown on an area of almost 500 thousand hectares. The state of winter crops after winter is good, and their vegetation has begun, the Minister went on to report.

He also reported on the provision of engineering infrastructure for gardeners’ partnerships. As many as 381 thousand garden plots on 30 thousand hectares of agricultural land are registered in 950 gardeners’ partnerships located in the republic.

Thanks to the support rendered by the republic and the work of the chairmen of the partnerships over the past three years, the number of the developed plots has increased by about 5.5 per cent or about 19 thousand plots.

The Minister added that the repair of external and internal facilities of gardeners’ partnerships will continue in 2020.

Minnikhanov emphasized that supporting gardeners’ partnerships is one of the most important tasks. “A garden is a household plot many citizens of Tatarstan have. At their plot, they grow agricultural products, provide themselves with products. No matter how hard it may be, but this area needs to be supported, ” Tatarstan President said.

Tatarstan President reminded that earlier the regional government was instructed to consider the question of issuing permits for the sale of seedlings and seeds.
