Rustam Minnikhanov hands in the medals of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the World War II

On March 7, at the Saidashev State Great Concert Hall in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev took part in a solemn event dedicated to the International Women’s Day and summing up the results of the contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: Female View”.

Minnikhanov congratulated women gathered in the hall on the upcoming holiday and wished them health and well-being.

Then Tatarstan President handed in a number of state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan. He also handed in medals of the 75th anniversary of the World War II to women veterans.

In his turn, Shaimiev said that the contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: Female View” has been held for over twenty years. The regional public organization Women of Tatarstan is the founder of the contest. Shaimiev thanked the organizers of the contest for the annual wonderful holiday. He thanked the women of the republic for their active participation in the public life of the republic and congratulated them on the International Women's Day.

This year, a special sign of the contest "Woman of the Year" was produced for the award. Shaimiev handed them over to the winners of the contest in the nominations “Woman-mother”, “My destiny is my profession”, “Woman - the culture and spirituality”, “Woman-scientist”, “Business lady”.
