Mintimer Shaimiev awarded Russian Government Prize 2019 for culture

On March 4, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree to award Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev with Russian Government Prize 2019 in culture for managing the museum project of the Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex and the island town of Sviyazhsk.

The prize was also awarded to the rector of Kazan Federal University, the author of the project concept,  Ilshat Gafurov and the Secretary General of the Russian Commission for UNESCO, the head of the project expert group Grigory Ordzhonikidze.
