Rustam Minnikhanov: Ak Bars is a very worthy team with good potential

On February 28, at the Rubin club’s sports base in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a traditional meeting with players and the coaching staff of the Ak Bars hockey team on the eve of the playoffs.

The Ak Bars finished the Continental Hockey League regular championship 2019/20 season. Today, Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik team became the first round opponent in the playoffs. For the Kazan club, the series starts with home meetings: on March 2 and March 4, the teams will play at Tatneft Arena Ice Palace.

We have a good tradition to meet before the playoffs to express our wishes and parting words for a good game. I would like to thank you for the beautiful hockey. You confidently passed the regular season, taking first place in the Eastern Conference. We have a very worthy team with good potential,” Minnikhanov emphasized.
