Tatarstan President inspects repaired children's art school in Nurlat

On February 17, during his working visit to Nurlat town of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the repaired children’s art school.

The educational facility was founded in 1965. In 2018, a major overhaul started in the school building, which lasted for one year. Builders updated the roof, façade and engineering networks.

Minnikhanov looked around classrooms, talked to teachers and students. Today, 825 children are attending the school. The school has a concert hall for 224 seats, 2 choreographic halls and 23 rooms equipped with necessary musical instruments and furniture.

Tatarstan President was told that the school is actively realizing its creative potential. As many as 6 choirs, an orchestra of folk instruments, 2 string bands, 4 choreographic groups, a folklore band, a band of folk instruments, and 6 vocal bands have been created there. Creative groups have repeatedly become winners of various contests.

Minnikhanov appreciated the results of the overhaul of the art school, and also wished the students further creative success.
