On February 12, at the Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Centre, speaking at a meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan on the results of work of the agro-industrial complex of the republic in 2019 and tasks for 2020, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that it is necessary to work out a system to maintain the agricultural machinery in working condition.
Minnikhanov noted that the republic has new equipment, but it is important to provide measures to facilitate repair of agricultural machinery.
“We have a huge stock of equipment that needs a professional approach. We have experience in repairing KAMAZ vehicles at the basic enterprises of the republic. Some small enterprises repair the engines of agricultural machines and tractors three times cheaper. Therefore, we need to work out a system for maintaining the agricultural machinery in proper technical condition” Minnikhanov said.
At the same time, according to him, repair work should be done efficiently and at specialized enterprises, using high-quality components. “Agricultural machinery needs a high quality repair,” Minnikhanov said. “It is unacceptable that components and spare parts are of uncertain origin.”
Minnikhanov also noted that a pilot project on the removal and disposal of biological waste has been implemented in the republic at the Sariya plant (the Alabuga Special Economic Zone) since 2019. Today, as many as 19 municipal regions of Tatarstan have been provided with containers for collecting such waste and special vehicles for their removal.
He urged all regions of the republic to get involved in solving the problem of biological waste disposal.
