On January 22, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov commented on the appointment of Marat Khusnullin to the post of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

Minnikhanov emphasized that Khusnullin is a very systemic and tough leader. The experience gained by him during his work in the government of Moscow will contribute to effective activities in the new responsible post, Tatarstan President said.

“The amount of work Khusnullin performed in Moscow allows us to say that the tasks assigned to the Russian Government in the construction industry and regional development will be performed,” Minnikhanov went on to say.

Prior to his new appointment, Khusnullin served as Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government on urban planning and construction issues. From 2001 to 2010 he worked as Minister of Construction, Architecture and Utilities of Tatarstan.
