On January 15, during the 11th Gaidar Forum in Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a working meeting of Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vitaly Mutko and the heads of several regions of Russia.
The meeting participants considered the statements of the Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly and, discussed the implementation of the tasks set in it. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a number of new measures to support families, proposed increasing the powers of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and changing the approaches to forming the Government.
Mutko said that Putin had previously had a meeting with members of Russian Cabinet of Ministers, during which the Government announced about its resignation. “We thought this was a big challenge, a request for change, we need to come out conditionally with new approaches. The Government decided to resign, but the President asked us to fulfill our duties until the establishment of the new Government,” Mutko said.
