Rustam Minnikhanov meets head coach of Rubin football club Leonid Slutsky

On January 11, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met the head coach of Rubin football club Leonid Slutsky, who has a 5-year contract with the club.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov and Slutsky discussed the development of football in general and the Rubin club in particular and raised the issue of training football players.

The parties also discussed the issue of building indoor football arenas in the regions of the republic. Tatarstan President said that four indoor football arenas will appear in the republic in 2020, thus athletes have the opportunity to practice year-round.

On March 1, the first official match between Rubin under the leadership of Slutsky and Tambov will take place.
