Rustam Minnikhanov visits the Kazan synagogue and congratulates the Jewish community on Hanukkah

On December 27, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Kazan synagogue to celebrate the Jewish community on Hanukkah.

The Russian Jewish communities began celebrations of theJewish holiday of Hannukah on Sunday (December, 22). 

Minnikhanov thanked Chief Rabbi of the Republic of Tatarstan and the city of Kazan Yitzhak Gorelik and the Jewish community for contributing significantly to strengthening peace and harmony in Tatarstan. 

Tatarstan President also emphasized that the Jewish community is an integral part of the friendly family of the peoples of Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov congratulated everyone on Hanukkah, wished them good health, kindness and prosperity and a Happy New Year.
