On December 18, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a regular board meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding, which considered promising projects for the petrochemical complex.
Support for oil and gas projects became one of the key points of the report made by Director General of the Agency of Technological Development (Moscow) Sergey Zinchenko at the meeting.
The Agency of Technological Development was established by the Government of the Russian Federation with the aim of assisting Russian enterprises in introducing world-class technological solutions. The agency works with partners with the help of such systems as “technology supermarket”, “technological radar” and others and has an import substitution competence centre in the fuel and energy complex.
Among the supported projects are the introduction of digital twins to optimize logistics and supply chains by Gazprom Neft, technology for trenchless pipe repair with an integrated fiberglass sleeve, development of high-speed telemetry for directional and horizontal drilling.
It was noted at the meeting that the Agency offers to act as a coordinator to promote IT technologies in Tatarstan through its partner networks.
“We want to conduct a survey of Tatarstan enterprises for the possibility of digitalization, the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies and the Internet of things,” Zinchenko said.
“The International Fund for Technological Development is being formed and we will be its founders. We are ready to work with Tatarstan," Head of the Agency said. “We had contacts with Tatneft in Skolkovo. The Ministry of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Alabuga Special Economic Zone want to interact with us,” he added.
“It is necessary to establish a working group and sign an agreement at the Government level at a meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in February,” Minnikhanov suggested. “Tatarstan should be such a platform to move these modern projects together with you.”
