Turkey is one of the main partners of the Republic of Tatarstan in many spheres, the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said at a meeting with the Governor of Eskişehir province (Turkey) Kadir Koçdemir. The meeting was held at the Kazan Kremlin.

To the point, the delegation of Eskişehir province led by Kadir Koçdemir is staying in Tatarstan with a working visit (November 5-9, 2012).

The delegation consists of representatives of Eskişehir leadership, Eskişehir chamber of industry, Organized Industrial Zone, “Ford Otosan” company, and businessmen.

On November 6 the delegation from Eskişehir province visited Naberezhnye Chelny (OJSC KAMAZ), Elabuga municipal region (SEZ Alabuga and OOO Ford Sollers Elabuga).

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed guests saying that the itinerary of the visit was very informative. He congratulated everyone on the 89th anniversary of the Turkish Republic.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and Turkey have common culture, language and traditions. He noted that Tatarstan and Eskişehir province had established close relationships. A large number of Tatars reside in this province.

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, work on establishing partnership relations between the Kazan Federal University and Eskişehir University is carried out. He reminded that TURKSOI organisation announced Eskişehir province the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2013. By the way, Kazan will enjoy the same status in 2014.

The Tatarstan President informed as well that the visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Eskişehir for holding Sabantui is planned for 2013.
Director General of OJSC KAMAZ informed that the international conference dedicated to production of automotive components would be held in Naberezhnye Chelny in March 2013 (the event similar to the forum that was held in Bursa, Turkey).

Finally, Rustam Minnikhanov and Kadir Koçdemir answered journalists’ questions.
