Rustam Minnikhanov visits the BELAZ Automobile Plant

On December 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a two-day working visit in the Republic of Belarus, visited the BELAZ mining dump truck production plant.

BELAZ is the world's largest manufacturer of heavy and very heavy mining dump trucks, as well as other heavy transport equipment used in the mining and construction branches of industry.

Minnikhanov visited the enterprise’s museum, where he got acquainted with the history of the Belarusian engineering giant. Tatarstan President  was told about the main stages of the plant’s development, production achievements, geography of supplies of mining equipment and innovations of the Belarusian Automobile Plant.

Then, Minnikhanov looked around the production facilities of the enterprise and got acquainted with the BELAZ equipment at the demonstration site. At the test site, Tatarstan President drove a BELAZ mining dump truck with a carrying capacity of 450 tonnes - the largest one in the world.

At the end of his visit, Minnikhanov made an entry in the book of honoured guests.
