Tattelecom to connect over 1,900 social facilities to the Internet in three years

On December 10, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, Director General of Tatarstan Company Tattelecom Airat Nurutdinov said that in three years, over 1,900 socially significant facilities will be connected to the Internet with fibre - optic cable under Information Infrastructure federal project of Digital Economy of the Russian Federation national programme in Tatarstan.

According to Nurutdinov, as many as 721 educational institutions, 605 medical and obstetric centers, 415 facilities of public authorities and local government, 87 facilities of the Russian Guard, 82 facilities of the Ministry of Emergencies and 3 territorial electoral commissions are among those facilities.

To date, the first stage of connecting social institutions has been completed in Tatarstan. The Internet appeared in 566 socially significant facilities of the republic, the Head of the Tattelecom said.
