Rustam Minnikhanov meets Director General of Himpromengineering research and production company Alexander Tyunin

On December 5, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of Himpromengineering research and production company Alexander Tyunin discussed the possibilities of expanding relations and implementing new joint projects.

The Khimpromengineering (UMATEX brand) is a branch of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, ranks first in Russia and is one of the ten world leaders in the production of a wide range of carbon fiber. The company also provides engineering support and is involved in research activities.

In May 2015, a carbon fiber plant was launched at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan. The construction of this production facility was an important step in the implementation of the import substitution programme. The products of the Alabuga-Volokno enterprise (a branch of the Himpromengineering) are comparable with international analogues in properties and price characteristics.
