Muslim Spiritual Boards of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation share National Award “Russia-Islamic World”

On November 29, on the sidelines of the fifth meeting of the Russia – Islamic World Strategic Vision Group held in Ufa, Tatarstan President and Chairman of the Group Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the national award “Russia - Islamic World”, which is annually awarded for contribution to the enhancement and dissemination of knowledge about Islam, mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia and the harmonization of state-confessional relations.

The total award amounts to 500,000 roubles.

As many as 34 applications have been submitted to the jury this year.

By the decision of the contest commission, a team led by Chairman of the Muslim Spiritual Board of Tatarstan Kamil Hazrat Samigullin for the establishment of the tafsir of the Koran in Tatar and Russian languages and a team led by First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia and the Muslim Spiritual Board the Russian Federation Rushan Hazrat Abbyasov for the establishment of a two-volume translation of the manuscript of Mahmoud al -Bulgari into Russian became the award winners in 2019.
