Tatarstan President takes part in the fifth meeting of the Russia-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group in Ufa

On November 29, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Ufa to take part in the fifth meeting of the Russia – Islamic World Strategic Vision Group and a meeting of Russian Islamic Economic Forum “Russia - Guarantor of Partnership”.

As many as 34 members of the Group, including 17 members from Russia and 17 members from other countries, took part in the meeting held in Ufa, the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan, on November 28-30, 2019.

Among honored guests of the meeting are Russia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Nikolay Zhuravlev, Assistant to Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation Samir Bakr Diab, Director General of Research Centre For Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) Halit Eren, Secretary General of the World Council of Muslim Communities Mohammed Al-Bishari and many others.

The topic of the meeting is “Interfaith harmony: the experience of Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)” and the meeting is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the OIC and the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Russian politician Yevgeny Primakov, one of the founders of the Group.
