Rustam Minnikhanov hands in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan under the closing the Year of the Theatre in Russia

On November 28, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to cultural and art workers, dedicated to the closing of the Year of the Theatre in Russia. 

A total of 19 people were awarded.

He also said that this year the republic has implemented a plan of events dedicated to the Year of the Theatre, namely, festivals, educational, social and youth projects, anniversary and cultural events.

Such traditional festivals as Shalyapin Festival (the international opera festival named after Fedor Shalyapin), Nuriev Festival (the international festival of classical ballet named after Rudolf Nuriev), Nauruz and other events in a new format, including the international theater festival “Europe - Russia – Asia” took place with great success in Tatarstan.

“The year of the theater is ending, but the tasks set for the theater world will remain relevant in the future,” I sincerely thank everyone involved in the theatre for your professionalism and dedication to your work,” Tatarstan President said.
