Rustam Minnikhanov meets the winners of the Leaders of Russia All-Russia Contest - members of the Elbrus Club

On October 25, in the city of Innopolis, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met the winters of the Leaders of Russia All-Russia Contest – members of the Elbrus Club as part of the Breakfast with Mentors project.

The project is aimed at creating conditions for informal communication and exchange of experience between mentors and winners of the Leaders of Russia Contest. Such meetings discuss a wide range of issues from prospects for the development of various branches of industry and regions to the practices of personal and professional growth.

At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of the club’s management reported that during a survey among the winners of the Leaders of Russia Contest, the majority of the votes were cast for a meeting with Minnikhanov, who is also a mentor of the Leaders of Russia Contest.

As a result, 29 winners of the contest, including representatives of the management of state, commercial, educational and other facilities from all over Russia (as well as 4 winners from Tatarstan) arrived in the republic.

“It was somewhat unexpected when I was informed that the winners of the Leaders of Russia  Contest want to meet and I agreed. I am vert honoured. Thank you for being interested in my personality, and we have the opportunity to talk,” Tatarstan President said at the meeting.

Minnikhanov was asked how Tatarstan has achieved significant success in the economy, what has contributed to this and what the region will be like in 10 years - in 2030.

Tatarstan President briefly told them about the economy of the region and the stages of the development of such fundamental branches of industry as oil production, petrochemical sphere, automotive industry, and the agro-industrial complex.

He reminded that Tatarstan is one of the five regions of the country with high volumes of gross regional product (GRP), agricultural production and other indicators. Moreover, Minnikhanov noted that the region always has good personnel potential.

According to him, the first president of the republic, now State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev played a special role in the development of Tatarstan and in the fact that the republic has become an advanced region.

Minnikhanov also told the meeting about himself, where he studied and positions he held to gain experience, including managerial experience, and to earn both the trust of people and the trust of the country's leadership.
