On October 16, at the Governor's Palace of the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Governor of Tyumen region Aleksandr Moor, who arrived on a two-day working visit with the delegation of the region in Kazan.
The delegation got acquainted with the experience of Tatarstan in establishing public spaces (Gorkinsko-Ometyevsky forest, the Promenade of Kaban Lake, etc.), visited Kazan agricultural park, the Khimgrad technopolis, the Alabuga special economic zone (Yelabuga municipal region) and the innovative city of Innopolis.
The meeting participants discussed further steps aimed at strengthening business relations at the interregional level. Moor said that the experience of Tatarstan in the establishment and the development of industrial sites and special economic zones will be used in the Tyumen region.
According to him, the experience of Tatarstan in training civil servants on a systematic basis deserves attention.
Tyumen Governor emphasized the work on the establishment of public spaces. We are also working on this issue. This is a difficult topic, but it is always a pleasure to get a warm response from the citizens, he said.
Minnikhanov said that he has already visited the Tyumen region twice this year, namely, in March, he visited ZapSibNeftekhim, the largest petrochemical complex in Russia (the city of Tobolsk), and in June, representatives of the republic got acquainted with the economic potential of Tyumen and signed the cooperation agreement.
According to Minnikhanov, the current visit of the representative delegation of the Tyumen region will help to develop cooperation on a systematic and long-term basis.
There is a potential in increasing supplies of engineering products (trucks and special vehicles, gas-powered buses), equipment for the gas industry and car tires. Tatarstan enterprises are developing cooperation with the SIBUR holding.
We are interested in strengthening cooperation in many areas. Today, the interregional trade turnover between Tatarstan and the Tyumen region amounts to14 billion roubles, Minnikhanov said.
He also emphasized that there is a potential for increasing these volumes.
Tatarstan President asked colleagues from the Tyumen region to consider the possibility of using the “Order.RF” federal e-commerce platform in procurement.
The interaction in health care is also a promising area.
Minnikhanov also expressed gratitude to Moor for his attention to the preservation of the language, national culture and traditions of the Tatars living in the Tyumen region and at large for the strengthening of interethnic relations.
The meeting participants also discussed the prospects of launching the direct flights between Tyumen and Kazan. It is expected that this will strengthen business contacts and will also contribute to the increase of interregional tourist flow.
At the end of the meeting, Minnikhanov and Moor answered questions from journalists.
