Tatarstan President meets senior managers of the Finnish IT company Uros

On September 30, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met senior managers of the Finnish IT company Uros.

Uros is a global provider of telecommunications solutions. The company is developing technologies used in the industry, environmental management, the development of smart city systems and other services. Tatarstan has the experience of interaction with Uros Company. A memorandum of understanding between Tatarstan Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and a Finnish company has been signed in Helsinki in June this year.

Minnikhanov noted that Finland is one of the leading foreign partners of the republic. Last year, trade turnover grew by 6.5 per cent and amounted to 524 million US dollars.

The meeting participants discussed the prospects for the implementation of joint projects, in particular, the possibility of introducing water quality control systems in the water distribution network in Tatarstan. Using Uros systems, the operator can detect abnormalities in the general chemical analysis of water in real time and take urgent measures.

At the end of the meeting, First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin and President of the Uros  Pekka Puolakka signed a memorandum of understanding between the Government of the republic and the Uros.
