On September 21, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin, Chairman of the Board and President of Transneft Nikolai Tokarev, Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov and other officials took part in launching a new Transneft-Sintez plant for the production of anti-turbulent additives in the Alabuga special economic zone (SEZ).

Before the opening ceremony, the guests visited a specialized exhibition, during which representatives of Transneft presented new technologies and equipment for transporting oil and oil products. It was noted that the presented samples were produced as part of Transneft's import substitution efforts.

The Transneft-Sintez investment project envisages the production of anti-turbulent additives. The planned production capacity is up to 3,000 tonnes, with oil transport and oil producing companies being the main consumers.

Speaking at the event, Sorokin emphasized that the opening of the Transneft Sintez plant is a serious step in the development of domestic technologies in the oil industry.

Pesoshin noted that Transneft is a strategic partner of Tatarstan and that the relations are developing on a long-term and systemic basis under of the Agreement on mutual cooperation.

According to Pesoshin, the plant launch is a vivid example of Transneft's focus on the introduction of import-substituting technology and industry best practices. “The new plant will fully satisfy the needs for anti-turbulent additives of both Transneft and other companies that have their own oil products pipelines,” he added.

In his turn, Tokarev thanked the leadership of the republic for their active assistance in the implementation of this project.
