On September 20, at his meeting with Chairman of the Board and President of Transneft Nikolai Tokarev at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that strategic partnership relations between the industrial enterprises of the republic and Transneft are very important for Tatarstan.
Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized that Transneft is a strategic partner of Tatarstan. “Our relations are developing on a long-term and systemic basis under the Agreement on mutual cooperation. During the annual meetings, we summarize the interim results of its implementation, jointly identify new promising areas of cooperation,” Tatarstan President said.
He noticed that the trade turnover between the enterprises of Tatarstan and Transneft increases every year. Over the past four years, it has grown 2.6 times, he said and thanked Transneft for ensuring the stable operation of Tatneft and small oil companies.
Minnikhanov emphasized that the republic and Transneft have a considerable potential and new promising areas for further expansion of cooperation.
In his turn, Tokarev noted that Transneft is operating in 61 Russian regions. “Of course, we can compare where and how we develop our relations with local authorities. Tatarstan is a certain indicator, that we refer to in relations with other regions,” he said.
