Eksam Gubaidullin becomes Head of the Tatarstan Central Election Commission

New members of the Tatarstan Central Election Commission have gathered at their first session today. Chairman of the RF Central Election Commission Vladimir Churov, Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Head of the RT Presidential Staff Yury Kamaltynov, ex-head of the Tatarstan Central Election Commission Anatoly Fomin, and 14 members of the Election Commission with the full voting status were present at the session.
The oldest member of the Election Commission, Vladimir Ospennikov, lawyer of the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation had chaired the session before the new Chairman of the RT Central Election Commission was elected.
Vladimir Churov told about priority tasks faced by new composition of the Central Election Commission.
Chairman of the RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin congratulated new members of the commission on their election and given confidence.
According to Head of the republican parliament, Anatoly Fomin always managed to carry on the open dialogue with members of political parties.
Farid Mukhametshin sincerely thanked ex-head of the Tatarstan Central Election Commission for work and handed the Letter of Gratitude of the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. On behalf of the Russian Central Election Commission, Vladimir Churov presented honorary diplomas and souvenirs to Anatoly Fomin.
Further, secret voting to elect new chairman of the Tatarstan Central Election Commission was held in accordance with the procedure. Members of the Election Commission unanimously voted for the candidacy of Eksam Gubaidullin, ex-member of the Federation Council representing Tatarstan who had resigned from the senate post.
The candidacy of Eksam Gubaidullin was recommended by the Russian Central Election Commission.
Deputy Chairman and Secretary of the Tatarstan Central Election Commission were elected by the secret voting afterwards. They are, in particular, Valentina Kamenkova (permanent secretary of the RT Central Election Commission since 1998), and Nadezhda Borisova, ex- secretary of the election commission of the municipality “the city of Kazan”. Presented candidates were unanimously supported.
Summing up, Vladimir Churov said he hopes that new members of the Tatarstan Central Election Commission will work successfully and efficiently.
