Aleksey Pesoshin meets Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Nikolay Evmenov

On September 11, at the Government  House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin met Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Nikolay Evmenov, who arrived in Tatarstan to take part in a keel-laying ceremony for a small rocket ship of the 22800 project “Taifun” at Zelenodolsk Shipyard.

The new ship is a Russian series of green-water small displacement multipurpose missile-artillery warships of the third rank. The ships of the project have a developed weapons system, including several types of guided missiles. "Taifun" can be operated independently or as part of ship groups, depending on the combat missions assigned.
