Tatarstan President holds a meeting on the construction of a ski and biathlon complex

On August 26, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on the construction of a ski and biathlon complex in the republic.

The complex is planned to be built next to the Dynamo Sports Centre in Mirny settlement of Kazan. The project includes ski slopes, a shooting range, stands and wax cabins and will be implemented in five stages.

It is assumed that all the conditions for training camps and various competitions will be created in the complex.

Minnikhanov noted that skiing is developing quite successfully in the republic, with the infrastructure being developed and ski resorts being built. He expressed his confidence that the ski and biathlon complex will be in demand among Tatarstan citizens and instructed relevant departments to develop the design of the new sports facility.
