The Republic of Tatarstan and the Administration of the Nenets Autonomous District sign Cooperation Agreement

On August 16, in Naryan-Mar, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District Aleksandr Tsybulsky signed an agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Administration of the Nenets Autonomous District on cooperation in economic, cultural, social and other spheres.

Upon his arrival, Minnikhanov got acquainted with the ethnographic exposition of the Nenets Autonomous District organized in the lobby of the Arktika Culture House. The exhibition showcases the traditional life of the peoples of the district, clothes, food, souvenirs, musical instruments.

Welcoming the delegation of Tatarstan, Tsybulsky noted that the interregional cooperation is carried out in a number of areas, with the interaction in the field of oil production and geological exploration being the main one. 

“Tatneft is a long-time partner of the Nenets District. And now we have intensified our work with the company,” he said.

According to Tatarstan President, the Nenets District is an interesting territory for Tatarstan, and the Tatneft oil company is interested in further developing cooperation. The potential of the district is great, he added.

We hope that our visit will give an impetus to intensify bilateral cooperation, Tatarstan President said.

Minnikhanov also said that this year the Nenets Autonomous District marks the 90th anniversary of its founding. We congratulate the district residents on this anniversary, he said and reminded that next year Tatarstan will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the TASSR.

Minnikhanov invited representatives of the Nenets Autonomous District to Tatarstan next year.

He also thanked the district authorities for paying attention to the issues of strengthening bilateral ties, the development of business contacts at the interregional level.

I am sure that our regions will be able to realize the rich potential for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation, Minnikhanovsaid.

During his working trip to the district, Minnikhanov also had a meeting with activists of the Tatar-Bashkir community living in the Nenets District.
