Tatarstan and Wildberries Company agree to cooperate

On August 15, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with founder and CEO of the Wildberries online store Tatyana Bakalchuk.

During the meeting, they signed a cooperation agreement, which envisages the construction of a large distribution center “Wildberries” with the total area of ​​100,000 square meters at the Zelenodolsk Advanced Development Territory. Its opening will create about 5,000 jobs in the region. The commissioning of the logistics complex is expected in the second half of 2020.

The company also plans to open a B2B E-Commerce Expertise Centre in Tatarstan, combining logistics and educational functions for suppliers. Seminars with participation of company employees and experts from the retail and Internet commerce sectors will be held here. The direct acceptance of goods from local partners will be organized 24/7 and will significantly reduce their costs for their own logistics.

The company will continue to develop its own network of pick-up points in the republic.
