Rustam Minnikhanov, Igor Babushkin and Batu Khasikov visit Al-Mardzhani Mosque

On August 13, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Acting Governor of Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin and Acting Head of Kalmykia region Batu Khasikov visited Al-Mardzhani mosque in Kazan.

The Imam Khatyib of the Al-Mardzani Mosque Mansur Hazrat Dzhalyaletdin held a small tour for guests. In particular, he told them about the history of construction of the mosque and about the outstanding Tatar educator and theologian Shigabutdin Mardzhani, after whom the religious building was named.

After visiting the mosque, the honored guests took part in a gala reception organized by the Council of Elders (Aqsaqals) of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Tatarstan on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
