During his stay in Turkmenistan, Rustam Minnikhanov visits a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in Kiyanly

On August 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who had arrived on a working visit in Turkmenistan as a member of the Russian delegation to take part in the first Caspian Economic Forum in Turkmenbashi, visited a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the village of Kiyanly (Balkan region).

During the visit to Turkmenistan, a presentation of the in Kiyanly gas-chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene was organized for representatives of Tatarstan.

This modern complex was launched in 2018. The volume of investments amounted to about 3.4 billion US dollars. The plant’s capacities make it possible to process up to 5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year and, due to this, to produce up to 13 types of polymers, including 5 types of polypropylene and 8 types of high density polyethylene.

Today, the company's products are in great demand both in the domestic market of Turkmenistan and abroad.

Minnikhanov and members of Tatarstan delegation visited the control centre of the gas chemical complex and other units.
