Rustam Minnikhanov gets acquainted with the harvesting campaign in Sarmanovo municipal region of the republic

On August 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov and other officials made a helicopter fly over the fields of Sarmanovo municipal region of the republic to get acquainted with the course of the harvesting campaign.

At his meeting with investors and farm managers of the Sarmanovo region at a winter wheat field near the village of Rantamak, Minnikhanov was informed that grain harvesting is underway at the fields. Unfortunately, it is not possible to proceed with the harvesting at full speed because of bad weather conditions.

Head of the municipal region Farit Khusnullin briefly reported on the situation.

According to Minnikhanov, the region should focus on developing dairy farming, since the region is lagging behind in the production of milk.

Answering Tatarstan President’s questions, Khusnullin reported that efforts are being made to increase milk production. In particular, private farms and small farms are being developed.
