On August 8, at the Kazan Giproniiaviaprom research institute, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting on the results of work of industrial enterprises of the republic for the first half of 2019 and tasks for the second half of the year.
Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov made a keynote report at the meeting.
He reported about the dynamics of the industrial production and the industrial production index in the first half of 2019, which has made 101.3 per cent, while the industrial production has amounted to 1.402 billion roubles.
The oil industry has traditionally demonstrated the positive dynamics. The industrial production index in terms of the extraction of minerals is 103.3 per cent, in terms of the production of oil products it makes 108.9 per cent.
Karimov also said that the forecast indicators of the industrial production index for the end of 2019 are expected to reach 101.5 per cent, the forecast for 2020 is 103.4 per cent.
Representatives of such enterprises as TAIF Group of Companies, KAMAZ Automaker, Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company, Kazan Helicopters Plant and other companies made reports on the results of the work of industrial enterprises and groups of companies.
Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized that it is necessary to use all available reserves to increase the production, to work to reduce costs, and to seek new markets for marketing products.
According to Minnikhanov, it is also important to use all the solutions of scientists in industry and to invest in R&D.
Tatarstan President pointed out that in some cases there are external reasons why industrial enterprises may have losses, but it is necessary to seriously analyze the situation.
Raising the issue of labour productivity, Minnikhanov noted that it is primarily an indicator of our competitiveness and effectiveness.
Tatarstan President also reminded that the task was set to double the volume of non-oil exports. According to him, to do this it is necessary to use both the support of the federal centre and to develop local support measures.
Moreover, Minnikhanov brought to the attention of the meeting social issues. In particular, he said that the programme of social mortgages in the republic has improved the living conditions of many citizens, and that this programme will continue. He thanked all the enterprises that make timely payments to the regional State Housing Fund and said that the social mortgage is a real opportunity to improve housing conditions for many families.
Minnikhanov gave an errand to the Government of Tatarstan to sum up the results of work of industrial enterprises and analyze the dynamics of the industrial production on a quarterly basis.
